First time trying Filipino food and I’m officially obsessed. Cebu is a beautiful family-owned restaurant in Chicago run by four siblings from Cebu, Philippines, and you can truly feel the love and heritage in everything they serve. The space is inviting, the staff was kind and knowledgeable, and the entire experience felt like being welcomed into someone’s home for dinner. I started with one of their unique Filipino-inspired cocktails -the ube painkiller and WOW. Creamy, dreamy, tropical, and totally unforgettable. For food, I ordered: • Filipino-style Chicken BBQ – tender, flavorful, and perfectly marinated. • Sizzling Gambas – juicy shrimp in a rich seafood sauce, served still sizzling (yes, heads were turning). • Crab Pancit – absolutely packed with crab meat If you’ve never had Filipino food before, this is where you start. Can’t wait to come back and try even more!

Great food here! Loved all of it. The ensaymada was not a traditional ensaymada but the top part was still good, the most of it was kinda a dry bread. Other then that everything was amazing. I can't think of the name of my tea but it was with lemon and ginger and was so fresh and satisfying.

Cebu never fails to impress. The food is consistently amazing, and while we were sad when they moved out of their Wicker Park location (making it harder for us to visit as often), they've proven that distance is no obstacle for excellence. For Christmas this year (2024), we decided to order lechon from Cebu--and it was unreal! We've never had lechon this soft and flavorful, not even in the Philippines or anywhere else. It was a true standout dish and a highlight of our holiday celebrations. Cebu is simply the best at what they do. Visiting their new location was also a pleasant surprise. The space is many times larger than the old one, and while it's a bit of a drive for us now, the quality of their food makes it more than worth the trip. We're already looking forward to coming back in the new year!

Love everything about this place. The food, staff, and ambiance. I went for brunch, and I 100% recommend the panpancakes. They were fluffy and a type of sweetness I was craving for. The staff is very nice; they recommended a lot of good options when we were unsure of what to get. I will be coming back again, especially since they have a different menu for breakfast and dinner.

Amazing!!! It’s like a home cooked meal made by your aunties and grandmas (Lolas). DEFINITELY go here for brunch. They have all the silogs and everything is cooked just right. They also have lechon and lechon kiwali - yum Their ensaymada was amazing as well! Everything baked in-house. They also have cocktails which is a plus for brunch.

We went to Cebu for brunch and let me tell you this has become my best brunch spot and their breakfast chicken inasal is my best dish i had in 2025 so far! drinks: i got a coldbrew with ube foam, my friends got ube latte and affogato with ube ice cream. all drinks was on point and rich in flavor food: we lean towards savory breakfast items so we got sizzling tofu, chef’s special lechon and my favorite, breakfast chicken inasal. it was perfectly charred, seasoned, the garlic rice it came it was soooooo delicious, and the portion/price was perfect. i liked lechon dish too but thought it was a bit heavy for brunch but whatever you dont finish becomes your dinner right? staff was so friendly and our waitress who took our order was so nice and genuine. we had some issues with our payment but she assured she could fix it with no problem and she did fix it with no problem. this is the longest review i’ve ever written haha but everything was 10/10 for us and yes i’ll be back to try their dinner menu as well!

We went there and had the whole restaurant to ourselves. It was a nice and peaceful experience. The servers were nice, friendly, and efficient checking on our table often. The food was amazing! We tried some of their pastries and French toasts? We would return. The ambiance is nice too.
